I am pleased to share the significant progress being made on the construction of various projects including wastewater treatment plants in Kohat and Mardan – crucial projects that will revolutionize
water management in these cities. By treating wastewater effectively, we are not only protecting our environment but improving public health, and quality of life for residents, saving groundwater
resources from contamination. Equally important are the under-construction water treatment plants under construction in Abbottabad and Mingora. These cities, known as the tourism hubs of our
province, attract thousands of visitors and serve as key sources of employment for local communities. With rising populations and the growing impacts of climate change, the depleting
groundwater table in these areas is a serious concern. The utilization of surface water will preserve our precious underground aquifers and clean water supply support both the local residents and the
tourism industry. Cleaner water and improved sanitation mean healthier communities, reduced pressure on healthcare systems, and a better quality of life for all is what KPCIP will achieve.
